A newer addition to the James Squire collection is the Chancer Golden Ale , which was introduced to the market in 2004. This dry beer offers a restrained bitterness and a unique golden-orange tone with fruity tropical aromas. The original addition to the James Squire Craft Beer range; Nine Tails Amber Ale continues to grow in popularity among beer lovers. The copper colouration and sweet caramel-toffee tones and nutty finish perfectly balanced with citrus hop aromas making this a much loved beer in the Squire range. As all the James Squire beers are; the 150 Lashes Pale Ale is inspired by Squire's life and stories. Always a risk taker; one of the many stories of Squire's life include the tale that saw him caught stealing from the colony's stores to gather the ingredients to brew his first batch of beer. It's said that the judge ordered 150 lashes for Squire, along with 2 barrels of Ale. This clean-finish beer is cloudy in appearance with a refreshing fruity aroma that makes it one of the favourites in the range. The stories; and the great beers, keep coming. The Constable Copper Ale is inspired by James Squire's transformation from thief and convict to District Constable many years later. This deep-golden ale balances earthy, floral and citrus tones with a lingering bitterness that offers a flavoured beer that is a true celebration of Squire's achievements and life transformation. The 3.4 percent alcohol content makes this a lovely mid-strength drink for Summer afternoons.
